Tell Me a Story is a new drama coming to CBS All Access (their online streaming service) this fall. Created by Kevin Williamson (of Scream, Vampire Diaries, and The Following fame), the show is a psychological thriller set in modern-day New York City that relies on classic fairy tales themes. The cast includes Paul Wesley (Vampire Diaries) and James Wolk (Mad Men) and we got to chat with them about the show in the San Diego Comic Con pressrooms.

Here are the highlights:

• The show is dark and borrows themes from 3 well-known fairytales and intertwines them with each other in modern-day NYC
• Paul was “dying” to work with Kevin Williamson again. He is excited that his character is a complete departure from what he’s done before – he’s down on his luck, has substance-abuse issues, and makes a choice that leads to a tragedy that changes the lives of many characters. He plays a character that is part of the “Three Little Pigs” story.
• James saw the script and had to do it. He plays the “Big Bad Wolf” – he starts out a normal guy but then an experience turns him to the dark side

Tell Me A Story will be available for streaming on CBS All Access starting on Halloween.
