New Show Preview: Tell Me A Story

Tell Me a Story is a new drama coming to CBS All Access (their online streaming service) this fall. Created by Kevin Williamson (of Scream, Vampire Diaries, and The Following fame), the show is a psychological thriller set in modern-day New York City that relies on classic fairy tales themes.

Unlike Grimm or Once Upon A Time, these retellings will have nothing fantastical about them and include no visual effects. While the stories will be recognizable, the show offers a much different take on fairy tales than what we’ve previously seen. The first season will include the tales The Three Little Pigs, Hansel & Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood, all interwoven into the 10 episodes. The creators and cast have promised that the show will be an emotional thriller with plenty of cliffhangers and that New York City will play a significant role as “the woods” of the stories.

The cast includes Paul Wesley (Vampire Diaries) and James Wolk (Mad Men) and we got to chat with them about the show in the San Diego Comic Con pressrooms – stay tuned for those interviews!

Interested? Tell Me A Story will start streaming on CBS All Access on October 31, 2018.
