5 Shows to Watch until Game of Thrones Returns

If you are like me you are having Game of Thrones withdrawals right about now. Have no fear though because we have some shows that should help fill the void.

Vikings
Vikings follows the story of Ragnar Lothbrok, a farmer who ultimately becomes the king of Denmark, terrorizing France and England with his relentless raids. It is a slightly less over the top version of Game of Thrones, but just as captivating.
Vikings airs on the History channel and you can catch up on past seasons on Hulu.

The Tudors
The Tudors is the story about Henry VIII’s reign over the whole England. It’s about the political control over the region. You want political struggles mixed with sex and grim action. This is your show. Not to mention it stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill, that is never a bad thing.
The Tudors aired on Showtime and you can stream all episodes on Netflix.

Misfits
Misfits is about a group of young offenders doing community service get struck by lightning during a storm, and begin to develop superpowers. Why should you watch this while you wait for GoT? Because it stars Iwan Rheon who plays Ramsay Bolton. He may be a real bastard on GoT but he is a completely different character on Misfits and this British dramady is worth the watch. It is crude at times and ridiculous at others.
Misfits can be streamed on Hulu.

The Borgias
The Borgias is a the saga of a crime family in 15th century Italy. Talk about sex, politics, intrigue and betrayal. This show has it all. It even has Jeremy Irons. So that is good.
The Borgias is another Showtime show that you can stream all episodes on Netflix.

Orphan Black
Orphan Black is about a streetwise hustler is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her. Although it isn’t nearly that simple. The now Emmy winning actress Tatiana Maslany plays just about ever character. Seriously. She is amazing and this show is not to be missed. It will have you hooked with it’s intrigue and corporate meddling.
Orphan Black airs on BBC America and can be streamed on Amazon.
