GRIMM: Charity Event Raises Over $310,000 for Children

This past weekend the cast of Grimm took some time out for a gala event which raised over $310,000 for OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, OR. The Grimm Gala was presented by Comcast and NBCUniversal, who covered the expenses for the event. Funds will provide children and families critical support associated with uncompensated care, travel, lodging, and other services.

For the auction, NIKE donated custom-made roche boots, designed by Tinker Hatfield, VP of Creative Concepts, with a depiction of each Wesen character on the back—one side with the human form and one side with the creature form. Other donors included Vinum Importing, Old Town Brewing and B&B Print.

“Over the past few years, my fellow cast and crew members and I have fallen in love with the city. Since Portland has given us so much, we wanted to give something back,” Sasha Roiz (Capt. Renard) said. And did they ever!  Online auction items raised $12,248 and online donations raised $3,632 at the close of the event. Fans can continue to donate online at grimmgala.doernbecherfoundation.org.

Well done, Grimmsters!
