Guillermo del Toro will co-direct with Mark Gustafson on the 3D stop-motion animated new version of Pinocchio. Del Toro wrote the story for the film about a puppet who “ embarks on a series of extraordinary and thrilling adventures, proving himself to be as indestructible as his love for his father.” (Source.) I always thought that moral of this story was that lying only causes more and more trouble, and is as plain as the nose on your face. Del Toro has another view, apparently, and I find it very interesting.
